Biography
Specialized in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the University of Verona in 1991, Dr. Sgarbi has carried out continuous assistance activities as an Internal Physician at the Institute of Medical Clinic – gastroenterological section of the University Hospital of Verona and has acquired full autonomy in the performance of endoscopic techniques of the upper and lower digestive tract at the Digestive Endoscopy Service aggregate.
On a clinical level, the study and therapy of chronic liver diseases with different etiologies, both in outpatient and day hospital settings, has been of particular interest. She obtained her PhD in Pathophysiological and Clinical Sciences of the Exocrine Pancreas in 1999 at the University of Verona. Author and co-author of 80 scientific publications, including works in extenso, abstracts and conference communications. Since 1999 she has worked as a freelancer as a gastroenterologist at the Pederzoli Hospital in Peschiera del Garda (Verona) where she has practiced endoscopic (diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy of the upper and lower digestive tract) and outpatient clinic (diseases of the digestive tract, liver and pancreas).
Continuous updating allows us to interact directly with Italian Centres of excellence in the study of gastroenterological pathologies and to provide the most suitable diagnostic-therapeutic pathway.
